Together with the bands AnnenMayKantereit, Milky Chance, BOY, Giant Rooks, the cast of Babylon Berlin, the actresses Katja Riemann, Heike Makatsch, Pheline Roggan as well as with the presenter Hadnet Tesfai and the journalist Aida Baghernejad, the humanitarian organization SOS Mediteranee will be calling attention from 30.10. to 01.11.2020 in the Festsaal Kreuzberg through a diverse program of concerts, readings and talks to narrow focus to the humanitarian emergency in the Mediterranean.

On November 1st at 3 p.m. we will accompany a reading with the cast of Babylon Berlin, in which the logbook and diary entries of rescuers and those rescued from the Mediterranean will be presented.

Tickets for the event will be raffled among donors, see link below. All donations go to the civil sea rescue organization so it can continue its life-saving mission.

Anyone who is not there live can follow the program online in the livestream. Further information will follow.

Ceremony of the OPUS KLASSIK 2020

Thomas Gottschalk will moderate the gala again this year, with violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter, tenor Jonas Kaufmann, mezzo-soprano Elīna Garanča, clarinetist Annelien van Wauwe, tenor Daniel Behle, recorder player Dorothee Oberlinger, countertenor Jakub Józef Orlińsson, soprano Diana Damrau, composer Hildur Guðnadóttir and ours truly welcome on stage.

The performing artists will be accompanied by the Konzerthausorchester Berlin under the direction of the conductor Karina Canellakis.

The ZDF will broadcast the show on 18th october at 22:15h.
